The Nexus Advisors

MONTH-END BOOKKEEPING SUPPORT

Get the groundwork ready for your independent CPA.

Give your month-end process a clear starting point. The Nexus Advisors organizes bookkeeping records, prepares reconciliations, and assembles draft reports and schedules so your independent CPA can review the work within the engagement you arrange with them.

Our role is preparation and support. Nexus is not a CPA firm and does not hold a CPA designation. We prepare bookkeeping records and draft materials; your independent CPA handles professional review.

THE STARTING POINT

A clearer handoff starts with organized records.

Month-end questions are easier to work through when the records, calculations, and unresolved items are in one place. We help connect the bookkeeping activity to its supporting documents and identify information that still needs your attention.

The agreed scope can cover a single period or a recurring routine. Before starting, we confirm the accounts involved, the condition of the books, the records available, and the format your CPA needs. Draft work remains subject to your instructions and your independent CPA's professional review; preparation does not mean that a review has been completed.

WHAT THE WORK CAN INCLUDE

A clear scope.
Useful preparation.

01

Organized period records

A working set of transaction records and supporting documents for the agreed period, with missing items identified. You supply the source records and clarify transactions that cannot be resolved from the documentation.

02

Account reconciliations

Bank and credit card reconciliations that connect recorded activity to statements. Differences, unmatched entries, and outstanding items are documented for follow-up rather than treated as resolved without evidence.

03

Draft bookkeeping reports

Draft reports drawn from the bookkeeping records, clearly identified as preparation work for your independent CPA. Their usefulness depends on the completeness of the records and resolution of open questions.

04

Supporting schedules

Schedules for agreed balances or transaction groups, linked to the available records. The specific schedules and level of detail are agreed before work begins, including any format requested by your CPA.

05

An open-items handoff

A concise list of missing documents, explanations needed, and matters for your CPA's attention. This makes the remaining work visible and keeps proposed corrections separate from decisions awaiting approval.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

From the first conversation
to a practical handoff.

  1. 01

Agree on the period and scope

Identify the entities, accounts, reporting period, and expected handoff. Share any instructions from your CPA so we can confirm the preparation work and information needed.

  2. 02

    Prepare and document

Organize the supplied records, prepare the agreed reconciliations and schedules, and raise questions. Missing support and proposed corrections stay visible while you provide instructions.

  3. 03

    Hand over for independent review

Provide the draft package and open-items list in the agreed format. Your CPA determines the professional review, accounting judgments, and final conclusions within their separate engagement.
